Yellow Line to Serve Shaw/Howard, U Street, other Green Line Stations

Starting Sunday, December 31st, getting around from Shaw will be a lot more convenient. Yellow Line trains will serve all Green Line Stations from Shaw/Howard and U Street to Fort Totten during off-peak hours. The result will be trains serving each of those stations every 6 minutes during the entire day, according to Metro interim general manager.

The pilot project, scheduled to run for 18 months, will cost $5.75 million dollars and be entirely paid by DC.
