The Mayor of the District of Columbia will hold his fourth consecutive annual summit to solicit citizen views on a variety of topics of concern to us on Saturday, November 19, 2005, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Specifically, the summit will be held at the Washington Convention Center (Hall D), 801 Mount Vernon Place, N.W., Washington, DC.
In the past, the Mayor has used the information gleaned from those who attend these summits to shape public policy and programs in a wide range of areas, from public safety to public works, from housing to homelessness.
While we have not always been represented at past summits in strong numbers, I hope and pray that this will change in 2005. Hence, I urge you to register to attend online at www.citizensummit.dc.gov and, unless you are otherwise committed on this day, I strongly encourage you to attend.
